What y’all know about this here?! Do you remember the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers? The costumed superheroes who could morph into one big robot hero machine thing. Haha! I don’t know why I felt that description was appropriate but it felt right. I was a bit of a nerd growing up so I wasn’t interested in tv as the rest of my siblings so I can’t speak on a lot of shows from the past with vivid recollection because I wasn’t watching a lot but I do remember watching  this show and, man, was I excited. My favourite was…wait for it….. PINK RANGER!

Typical of a girl, right? But I didn’t like her because she was pink (at least, I don’t think this was why). It could have been because she was the only girl I truly noticed as a girl. Yes, as evidenced by the first picture in this post, we see that it was mostly males and then we got the token female character or two, one of which got a neutral (read: unisex) colour. I remember actually disliking pink because it was seen as commonly feminine but then I grew up. All the same, we were also blessed with having another female Ranger. Yaay!

This series has been going on for quite a while (about twenty years, in fact) and in the spirit of longevity, they would  change  the storylines, teams/characters and the costumes. Point to note: Only the Rangers that were a primary colour were there on every team (ie Red, Yellow, Blue). The most common colour that was not on every team was Pink.

The above team is the team I remember watching I remember Kimberly clear as day. I remember Zack (Black Ranger), I remember Trini (Yellow Ranger), Billy (Blue Ranger) and I remember Tommy (Green Ranger) Fine ass Tommy. Whoo! Oh, I also remember Zordon. Hi, Tommy!

I do love a man in red! But my FLAVRIT memory of Tommy was when he was White Ranger. Owww!

Wait, is this post about Power Rangers or one specific Ranger? Tommy and Kimberly were together at one point so this must be why I loved him so. I’d find it funny when the Power rangers had their evil alter egos and had to be saved. They were always so appropriately badass. Hehehe.

As I said, the Power Rangers have been around for some time now so there’s still some version on t now. I no longer watch it. I suffer from old-coloured glasses in that I believe that this best time for this series was when I was young and watching it. “It’s just not as great as it used to be back in my day”. 🙂

All the same, I must thank all of you for journeying with me down memory lane.
